The Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Hon. Justice B.A. Adejumo, OFR, has inspected on-going projects at the Institute and assured staff that their welfare remains a priority.
During the inspection, the Administrator toured the project sites and reviewed progress with the officers and project managers in charge. He asked about timelines, quality of work, and delivery. He urged the contractors to keep to agreed standards and complete the projects on schedule.
Justice Adejumo said the projects are part of a larger plan to make the Institute a centre of excellence for judicial training and research. He explained that good facilities help the Institute serve judges and court officials better.
He also addressed staff through the heads of departments(directors). He assured them that improving their welfare and incentives remains central to his administration. "An institution is only as strong as its people," he said. "When staff are well treated, they give their best, and the Institute benefits."
The Administrator called on all staff to work with diligence and take ownership of their duties. He said the Institute can only meet its goals if management and staff pull in the same direction.
The Institute Secretary, Olumo Abdulazeez, Esq., spoke during the inspection. He thanked the Administrator and assured him of staff support at all times. He also urged staff to stop sharing unverified comments and warned them of disinformation, misinformation, and fake news, and to avoid any conduct unbecoming of judicial staff. He described the Administrator as a father to all, who pays close attention to both the work and the workers.
The Administrator promised to continue regular reviews of the projects until completion.
